Login Screen Help

The Login Screen is your entry point for Journyx. Enter your login ID and password and then click the Button. Journyx will then display your start screen. Your start screen is based on your user role. Most users (Users, Managers, Project Managers, etc.) have a time entry screen as their start screen. Administrators, on the other hand, have the sitemap as their start screen.

Possible Login Issues And Their Solutions

Login Problem Solution
Your login and password is not working. Login IDs can be case sensitive in Journyx depending on system settings.

If your administrator has enabled the case-sensitive login option, and your login ID is "mjwatson" for example, then you must enter that login in all lower case. Journyx will not log you in if you enter "MJWatson" or "MJwatson" or any other combination that does not match the actual case of your login exactly.

Passwords are always case sensitive in Journyx. You must enter your password in exactly the same case as it was created.

You have just installed Journyx and are logging in as the installing admin for the first time. When you log in to Journyx as the installing admin for the first time, the login and password are both set to the user name you are currently logged in as in the operating system that is running on the Journyx host machine. On Windows machines you can find out your login name by hitting ctrl-alt-delete and the Windows Security screen should show your login name. If the login name is associated with a domain like this: DOMAINNAME\robert then just use the part after the \ character. In the example, your login name would be 'robert', and your password 'robert'.
You do not know your login ID. Contact your organization's Journyx Administrator to get this information.
This is your first time to log in to Journyx and you do not know your password. When you log in to Journyx the first time, your password is the same as your login ID. After you log in, Journyx will ask you to change your password. That password will then be your password for all subsequent logins.
You have previously logged in to Journyx and you have forgotten your password.

There may be a password reset button on the login screen if your Journyx Administrator has set this up. If so, you may click on the button to reset your password. An email will be sent to the email address that is on file for your account. The email will contain a link to reset your password.

If the login screen does not contain a reset password button, you will need to contact your Manager or your organization's Journyx Administrator to have your password reset.

A Note On Case Sensitivity

Depending on system settings, Login IDs can be case sensitive in Journyx. Therefore, if your login ID is "mjwatson" you must enter that login in all lower case if your administrator has enabled the case-sensitive login option. Journyx will not log you in if you enter "MJWatson" or "MJwatson" or any other combination that does not match the actual case of your login exactly.

Passwords are always case sensitive in Journyx. You must enter your password in exactly the same case as it was created.
